This manual contains the following major changes compared to the last edition of the manual:
The manual has been adjusted for BS2000 OSD/BC V11.0. It applies to all SE servers.
The chapter "Initial installation" has been revised. The initial installation process is largely the same for the different server units. Starter tape, starter system und the product FIRST are no longer necessary (SU /390).
New section "Configuration of emulated disk devices connected to the MU".
Changes since BS2000 OSD/BC V11.0B:
- FastDPAV alias devices are supported. Refer to FastDPAV in section "General conditions for hardware generation" and the "Generation example for FastDPAV". FastDPAV alias devices are generated with the disk type code A6 (refer to Device type table).
- Magnetic tape cartridge LTO-U7 generation are supported (refer to Device type table and Volume type table).
