The following statements can be used to limit the number of alias devices for FastDPAV. In VM2000 mode, the statements have to be entered in the local BS2000 system.
By default, all FastDPAV base devices are considered for the use of FastDPAV alias devices. The DPAV_BAS_REM command can be used to exclude FastDPAV base devices from use. The DPAV_BAS_ADD command can be used to (re)enable use. The maximum number of aliases per disk can also be modified. The default value is the maximum value of 7.
Activating base devices for FastDPAV
DPAV_BAS_ADD activates base devices for FastDPAV.
