The compiler generates additional information (LSD) for the AID debugger. By default, no debugging information is generated.
A program, i.e. an executable file generated by the link editor, can be debugged in the POSIX shell with the debug
command. Once this command is input, the user is in BS2000 mode (indicated by %DEBUG/). The AID commands are then input as described in the manual “AID Debugging of C/C++ Programs” [11]. The POSIX shell is the current environment after the program is terminated.
