Measurements for storage systems connected to x86 servers SE310

This section contains measurement results for the performance of the x86 server SE310 when connected to an ETERNUS DX600 S3 storage system via FC.

The following configuration was used to make the measurements:

• SU310-20 server with 430 RPF in native mode.

• Connection of the x86 server to the storage system via 2 FC switches with 2 * 4 FC connections (16 Gbit/s). The various volumes and LUNs were each accessible over four paths.

• The ETERNUS DX600 S3 storage system with a 128-GB cache and physical disks each with a capacity of 300 GB and operating at 15,000 rpm

• Volumes on disks of the type D3435 with data format NK2 with low mutual interference (1-2 volumes each on a RAID group RAID 1/0(3+3)).

• All the tasks performed only synchronous IOs.
