Internet services in BS2000 (overview)

With openNet Server, BS2000 provides a set of internet services that use the transport protocols TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and UDP (User Datagram Protocol). The delivery unit openNet Server is a prerequisite for using interNet Services.

The table below gives an overview of the services provided by the individual products.

The individual services included in interNet Services are described in detail in the sections below.The supported protocols generally work according to the client/server model, i.e. the server provides services which are requested and used by one or more clients. The server and the clients may run on the same system or on different systems.
