Adding new tapes

A delivery of 100 tapes of the type TAPE-U4 and 50 tapes of the type TAPE-U5 has arrived.

The tapes of the type TAPE-U5 are for a real archive system assigned to the location AML001.

The tapes of the type TAPE-U4 are for the archive system ETERNUS CS.

The new tapes are labeled with the consecutive archive numbers TU4001 through TU4100 and TU5001 through TU5050 and then added to the MAREN catalog by means of the following two statements:

The tapes have been added to the MAREN catalog. For HOME-LOCATION and FREE-LOCATION, MAREN takes the value specified in the ADD-FREE-VOLUMES statement. CENTRAL is entered initially for TEMPORARY-LOCATION for all tapes. Once 50 tapes of the type TAPE-U5 have been added to the archive system, ROBAR causes the storage location of the archive system (AML001) to be entered for TEMPORY-LOCATION.
