REMOVE-HOST Remove system from the MAREN network

The statement removes a system and its system-specific parameters from the MAREN catalog and thus from the MAREN network.

The following applies when domains are used: if tapes are still assigned to the system which is removed, these tapes remain assigned to the system’s domain. Tapes can remain assigned to a domain even though no system is now assigned to this domain.

HOST = <alphanum-name 1..8>
Specifies the name of the system which is to be removed.

MAREN cannot check whether the specified system exists. You must therefore take special care that the system name is entered correctly.
