Supported printer control characters

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

The control characters that are taken into account during interpretation of the host data flow in bypass printing are listed below. There is a difference depending on whether the control character function is ignored or is fully or partly emulated.

If a control character sequence is ignored, the characters are removed from the data flow.
A warning that the print output may be incorrect is also displayed. You have the option of suppressing this warning. Printing is continued in any case.

If a control character function is only partially emulated, you are informed of the nature and effect of the restriction.

Control character sequences not listed below can lead to various error situations. They can either lead to an error message being displayed and printing being canceled, or they are forwarded to the printer, which can lead to undefined results.

Several control character sequences may be possible for each control character function, but the control character sequence is unique.
