Terminal emulation

Host applications are normally operated using what are known as terminals. The type of terminal depends on the host, e.g. the terminal for a BS2000 host is known as a data display terminal.

Terminal emulation is a program that replicates the properties of a terminal on another system. This enables data to be sent to and received from the host, and provides access to applications installed on a host.

MT9750 is a terminal emulation software package. MT9750 provides a connection to BS2000 hosts for PCs in networks based on TCP/IP. This enables PC users to access the full range of data from centrally running host applications in MT9750.
