The Utilities menu contains an option for recording sessions. This enables recordings of the data flow to be produced, which can be used for error analysis.
This option is only available if a session window has first been opened.
It is possible to record the entire data exchange between the host and the emulated terminal, or parts of it. The following options are available:
Recording the data flow sent by MT9750 to the host
Recording the information that the terminal has received from the host
Recording the entire data exchange between MT9750 and the host
Recording can be started and ended at any time during a session.
Starting session recording
Open Utilities > Record Session > Start from the menu.
Enter a file name in the Record to File text field. The file type must be .REC.
Select the recording mode:
Send only
Send and receive
Receive only
Select the file format:
Text for files that can be edited using a text editing program. You can choose between recording in ASCII or EBCDIC format.
Binary for binary recording of the data flow (without conversion).
Confirm the entries with OK to start recording.
If you exit the emulation program without first saving the session recording, all the information recorded in the session will be lost.
Ending session recording
Open Utilities > Record Session > Stop from the menu.
The Record session dialog box is opened on the screen. This dialog box shows the name of the file in which the session is currently being recorded.
Select OK to confirm saving to the specified file or Cancel to cancel the recording.
