Saving a session does not mean saving the session data that is displayed in the window. It involves saving the session parameters, such as the character format, the session title, the display mode, the P key assignment, etc.
If you do not specify a directory in which your session is to be saved, the MT9750 sessions are saved in the configuration directory.
The following sections describe the different options for saving sessions.
Saving an active session
| Select Save in the Session menu. If you are saving a new session, you will then be prompted to enter a file name. If the session has already been saved previously, the original file name is used. |
The session window remains the active session window after saving it.
Saving a session under a new name
Open Session > Save As from the menu and enter a name. You can also change the directory.
The name must correspond to the operating system naming conventions.
The name must be given the file extension .MTS.
All properties of the session, e.g. display attributes, identification for the host, session name and short name, are entered in file with the file extension .MTS.
To save the current assignment of the programmable keys, select the Save Programmable Keys option. The key assignment is saved in a second file with the file extension .MTK.
If a new session has been set up and not previously saved, this dialog box also appears the first time you save or close a session.
Confirm the entries with OK.
The session window remains the active session window after saving it.
You are always prompted to enter a name, regardless of whether or not the file has previously been saved.
Saving all open sessions
| Select Save All in the Session menu. This option enables you to save changes to all open sessions. If they include a new session that has not yet been saved, the Session > Save menu is opened for that session. |
The session windows remain open after they have been saved.
