BCAM mapping function

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

The conventions for addressing partner systems depend on the transport system used (see section "Addressing in computer networks").

  • NEA partners are symbolically addressed using the processor name and station or application name

  • TCP/IP requires the IP address and port number for partner identification.

The BCAM mapping function enables communication with both ISO and TCP/IP partner systems. For example, in addition to the NEA-compliant attributes of processor name and station or application name, ISO and TCP/IP-compliant transport selectors and port numbers can be defined for an NEA application.
