DNS Resolver connection

The BIND-based program LWRESD (Light Weight RESolver Daemon) implements a central DNS Resolver connection for BCAM and SOCKETS(BS2000). SOCKETS(POSIX) is connected indirectly to the DNS Resolver connection via the SOCKETS(BS2000) subsystem.

In the standard configuration, LWRESD can be accessed under the local loopback address and port 921.

By default, the LWRESD program is started by the DCSTART/DCOPT command (see also section “Configuring LWRESD”).
