Dynamic generation with BCAM commands

&pagelevel(4)&pagelevel

You have the option of using BCAM commands for the dynamic generation of communication components that have not yet been entered in BCAM tables. With dynamic generation by means of an BCAM command, the new communication component is entered in the BCAM tables during operation. These entries remain there until a BCEND command is issued.

To provide dynamically generated communication components for further DCSTART commands, you must use the SOF file and/or BCAM command files.

Non-RDF mode

Using the dynamic generation, BCAM offers the option of starting the host communication system without the RDF. Non-RDF mode is initiated using the DCRDF=*NONE parameter of the DCSTART command. The other parameters are either specified directly in the DCSTART command or stored in the DCOPT command in a SOF (Start Option File). The parameter values defined in the DCSTART command have priority over the values specified in the DCOPT command.

Definition of a host in non-RDF mode

/DCSTART HOST=HOST,DCRDF=*NONE,   -
/   MAXTSDU=65530, ..........

Various examples of dynamic generation are provided in the section "Examples of dynamic generation".
