A few simple examples of VLAN configurations are provided below. The starting point taken is a normal LAN configuration in order to illustrate the differences to a VLAN configuration and to derive the VLAN configuration on a step-by-step basis. These examples show what new VLAN commands are required for definition purposes and in how far analogies can be drawn between a LAN and a VLAN configuration.
In the examples in the sections below some abbreviations are used in the names of the various objects. Combinations of these abbreviations are also used.
