MODIFY-ROUTE-PATH / MDRTP: Modify route path

You use the MODIFY-ROUTE-PATH command to switch specific routes.

The alias name MDRTP exists for MODIFY-ROUTE-PATH in order to provide SNMP support.

ROUTE-NAME=...
Defines the routes for modification.
The following routes can be modified:

in a LAN :  Routes with Layer 3 protocol IP

The modification of each individual route is logged with the message BCA07C2 .
If multiple routes are modified then the number of modified routes is logged with the message BCA07C1.

ROUTE-NAME=<composed-name 1..8> / <c-string 1..8>
Name of the route for modification.

ROUTE-NAME=*IP(...)
The routes defined by the partner IP address are modified.

IP-ADDRESS=<composed-name 7..15> / <x-string 7..8>
Partner IP address of the routes which are modified.

ROUTE-NAME=*IP-RANGE(...)
Range of IP addresses of the routes which are modified.

FROM=<composed-name 7..15> / <x-string 7..8>
Lowest IP address of the range for modification.

TO=<composed-name 7..15> / <x-string 7..8>
Highest IP address of the range for modification.

ROUTE-NAME=*ISO(...)
The routes defined by the partner ISO internet address are modified.

IP-ADDRESS=<x-string 1..40>
Partner ISO internet address of the routes which are modified.

PATH=...
Specifies the path change for the route.

PATH=*VIA-ROUTER(...)
The route operates via a router.

ROUTER-ROUTE-NAME=<composed-name 1..8> / <c-string 1..8>
Name of the router route via which the route operates.

PATH=*VIA-LINE(...)
The route is direct, i.e. it does not pass via a router.
This operand is permissible only for remote IP routes via LAN.

LINE-NAME=<composed-name 1..8> / <c-string 1..8>
Name of the line via which the route operates.

PATH=*VIA-IP(...)
The route operates via a router

IP-ADDRESS=<composed-name 7..15> / <x-string 7..8>
IP address of the route to which the route(s) is (are) switched.
This option should only be used when only one route with this partner address exists, otherwise PATH=*VIA-ROUTER should be used.

Command logging

Positive acknowledgments are supplied in news BCA0663, and negative acknowledgments in news BCA06B3 followed by the message NBR0740.
If processing is positive the messages BCA07B0, BCA07C1 and BCA07C2 may also appear.
A description of the error messages that may be issued during command processing is provided in the table below.
