The NETSTAT program can be used to request information about applications, connections, routing data and network interfaces.
The output numbers are usually 32-bit values. In the event of an overflow, a requested value may deviate from the actual value by a multiple of 232.
The terms used (especially the names of variables used in the statistics as well as the named values for MAC-ADRESSES, ROUTING and TCP-CONNECTIONS) originate from the RFC 1213-MIB (MIB-II).
The functionality of the NETSTAT program is also available via BCAM command SHOW-NET-STATISTICS/NETSTAT (see section “SHOW-NET-STATISTICS / NETSTAT: Show network connection information”).
