Redundant lines to a node

In BCAM the term line redundancy or redundancy for short (default) is used when at least two lines connected to a node are defined with the same profile.

The profile for lines can be specified in the CREATE-LINE command using the CSMACD value of the L2-PROTOCOL operand. By contrast, the CSMACD is accepted implicitly for VLAN lines.

All lines and VLAN lines with the same profile which are connected to a node are thus defined redundantly.
