Firewall Entries in BCAM

&pagelevel(5)&pagelevel

Prerequisite for this procedure is that the mode ACCESS=READ is set for the processor file (see section "Open and Controlled Server Operation").

If a partner end system is not allowed to be accepted, its address is entered into a BCAM internal "firewall table." Systems with addresses listed in this table have no name and no access to the host!

With the commands SHOW-ROUTE or SHOW-ROUTE-PATH by IP address or SHOW-BCAM-FIREWALL, you can check whether a firewall entry exists for a specific address.

If you want to grant access to the host (via AEC or by creating the processor through BCAM commands) to a system that is listed in the firewall table, you must remove this system from the firewall table. To do so, delete the processor and its route(s) using the DELETE-ROUTE command. Specify the IP address or IPv6 address as the ROUTE-NAME.
