DATIN

Selection of the trace file to be evaluated.
The version number of the trace producers are stored in the first record in the saving file. These are in the following order:

1. BCAM

2. DCAM

3. DCMB

4. OSD

5. CMX (if available)

The version number consists of 4 characters (xyab) according to the representation Vxy.ab. If no parameters are entered, information on the current input file is provided.

If DATIN is specified without parameters, the version numbers are displayed for a file that has already been assigned.

Fully qualified filename according to BS2000 conventions (max. 41 characters)

<qualifier>
The files are shown on the terminal using wildcards ("*"). The selection is made with the help of a list of the corresponding figures (see FSTAT).

Error messages for the DATIN command

Message	Meaning
NO TRACE-FILE SPECIFIED USE DATIN FIRST	No file name specified; use DATIN first
FILE NOT FOUND	The file name entered does not exist
WARNING: NO FILE CHOSEN	DATIN selection menu was exited using "X" (EXIT)
ERROR WHILE OPENING: <filename> / ERROR WHILE READING: <filename>	File error on opening or reading the file <filename>
POSSIBLE INCONSISTENCY BECAUSE OF FILE ERROR	Read error, possibly because the file is not FCBTYPE=PAM
ERROR WHILE ALLOCATING MEMORY	Error on saving
ERROR IN HEADER SET BCA/ DCM-DIAG DETECTED	An error was detected on analyzing the header record of the trace file.
