Sorting objects

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

Object lists can be sorted simply and quickly according to various criteria. Simply click on the appropriate column header. The list is then sorted in ascending or descending order on the basis of this column. The column currently being used to sort the list is marked by a triangle symbol in the column header. If you click on a column header that is not marked, the table will first be sorted in its standard sort order. Clicking on a marked column reverses the sort order.

Using this mechanism, for example, all connected users or all users with the same start format can be displayed in succession in a User list.

The following also applies to an object list of the common view of all applications in the collection:

  • The objects within an application are sorted alphabetically according to the object name.
  • Clicking on the Name column header sorts the objects alphabetically across all applications.
