Collector list

&pagelevel(4)&pagelevel

This list can be handled in exactly the same way as a UTM object list (see Object lists).
The list contains the following columns:

Column

Meaning

1st column without title

Selection of up to ten statistic collectors for the graphical display. You select a collector for graphical display by checking the corresponding box. Once the list has been refreshed, the collector list can be sorted on the selected collectors. Instead of a filter, the number of currently selected collectors is displayed.

Type

Icon and type of the statistic collector, as well as a specification of the unit of measurement (# for number, % for percent).
Possible icons:

Collector is inactive. It can be activated via its property dialog.

Collector sleeping (see 'State' column).

Collector is active.

Collector is active and is currently requesting a statistics value.

Active collector in which the last collected statistics value exceeded the defined upper threshold.

Active collector in which the last collected statistics value exceeded the defined lower threshold.

Active collector whose assigned "collecting" object does not exist (no longer exists) in the corresponding UTM application.

Active collector in which the last attempt to collect a statistics value failed.
Possible cause: The statistics value that is to be collected is not available in the operating system version or variant of the corresponding UTM application.

Object Type
Object Name

Type and name of the "collecting" object that is assigned to the statistic collector.

Activated

Specifies whether the collector should collect statistic values.

Interval

Specifies the period between two pollings of statistic values.

Automatic Wake-Up

Specifies whether the sleeping collector should be woken up and start collecting data when the UTM application is available.

Caution: If automatic wake-up is selected for one or more selectors for a UTM application then WebAdmin checks the availability of this UTM application at regular intervals.

State

State of the statistic collector. Possible values:

'Inactive':
The collector is deactivated and is not collecting any statistic values.

'Active':
The collector is collecting statistic values.

'Sleeping':
Indicates that the statistic collector has been activated but no statistic values are being collected at present because the application has not yet been contacted or is not (no longer) available.

'without object':
The "collecting" object assigned to the collector is not (no longer) available in the UTM application.

Last Value
Minimum
Maximum

Indicates the last value or the smallest or largest value so far identified in the current WebAdmin session. '<.>' is displayed for each of these values until a successful polling operation has taken place.

Next Sample At

Specifies the time at which the statistic value will next be polled. '<.>' is displayed here until a polling operation has taken place.

Number of All Values

Specifies the number of all available values.

Values

Specifies the number of statistic values for the collector polled in the current WebAdmin session.

Upper Threshold

Upper threshold set for the collector or '<none>' if no upper threshold is defined.

Lower Threshold

Lower threshold set for the collector or '<none>' if no lower threshold is defined.

Upper threshold exceeded

Specifies whether the last polled value exceeds any upper threshold that may have been defined.

Lower threshold exceeded

Specifies whether the last polled value exceeds any lower threshold that may have been defined.

threshold exceeded

Specifies whether the last polled value exceeds any lower or upper threshold that may have been defined.

Upper Threshold Alert

Type of alert issued if the upper threshold is exceeded.

Lower Threshold Alert

Type of alert issued if the lower threshold is exceeded.

Remark

Comment concerning the statistic collector.

Statistic Values Lifetime

Limits the volume of collected statistic values stored in the configuration database. Possible values:

'Don't Save':
The collected values are not saved in the configuration database and are lost when the current collection is closed.

'Delete on Demand':
All the collected values are saved in the configuration database without restriction. They are only deleted if the user explicitly requests this.

'Keep Last <n>':
The collected values are saved in the database up to the selected maximum number. If this number is exceeded then the oldest values exceeding the permitted quantity are deleted.

'Keep 1 day/2 days/1 week/1 month':
The values are stored in the database for the specified period and are then deleted when this period expires.

'Current Application Run':
Only the values from the current application run of the respective UTM application are stored in the database. The start time of the application is taken from the structure kc_curr_par_str in the KDCADMI interface.

Automatic Export

Defines whether the values collected by this statistics collector should be automatically exported to a file.
Is only possible for the standalone WebAdmin.

Application

For an overview of all applications of a collection only:
Name of the UTM application to which the collector belongs.

Host

For UTM cluster applications:
Name of the host running the UTM node application to which the collector belongs.

For an overview of all applications in a collection:
Name of the host running the UTM application to which the collector belongs.

Not displayed for standalone applications.
