Installation

The WebAdmin add-on is installed via the SE Manager user interface. During the installation, an openutm group and openutm ID are set up if they do not already exist on the system. WebAdmin therefore always runs under the ID openutm. The add-on is also logged in at the SE Manager. To permit web access, a Catalina Tomcat service – named addon-openutm ( for M2000 version less than V6.5:  openutm ) – is installed and automatically started on Linux systems.

When the WebAdmin add-on is uninstalled, the service is terminated and uninstalled. The add-on is also logged out at the SE Manager. The configuration data, and in particular the configuration database, are retained. This makes it easier when upgrading to a new version of the WebAdmin add-on.
