On Windows systems, a UTM database application is created in the same way as a UTM application; see "Creating application programs on Windows systems". Only the following additional options need be set:
For the Visual Studio options, you must specify the directory containing the database libraries, see "Application programs in C and C++ (Windows systems)".
For the linker options, you must specify the name of the necessary database libraries, see "Compiling and linking the application (Windows systems)".
This ensures that the correct database libraries will be linked when the linker is called; see "Compiling and linking the application (Windows systems)".
You can use the Quick Start Kit to create a UTM database application, see "openUTM Quick Start Kit on Windows systems". The Quick Start Kit is supplied with openUTM.
