PERCON and ACS

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

When using the subsystem ACS (Alias Catalog Service), the following should be observed:

  1. If the user specifies a file name with an ASSIGN statement, the file name is checked by ACS and, if the ALIAS-CATALOG-ENTRY matches, converted.
  2. If there is a TFT entry created by the user, a conversion of the file name that may have been defined with ACS has already been carried out. If this file name is used by PERCON, a new conversion by ACS is avoided with HOLD-ALIAS-SUBSTITUTION.
  3. If the status of ACS changes between the creation of the TFT entries and the PERCON START-CONVERSION statement, the file names may be accidentally swapped over.
