Importing and exporting cartridges

For functional and security reasons, an archive system constitutes a closed system. In certain cases, however, volumes must be added to or removed from the archive system. For this purpose the archive systems are equipped with input/output units. Changes to the data stored in the archive system can be initiated by any BS2000 system.

The functions for making changes to the data stored (Import, Export, Move Media) which are offered at the administration interface of the archive systems may not be used in ongoing ROBAR operation.
