When it prepares the compiler database for renaming, one of BRENAME’s tasks is to delete all SSIAs in the DBDIR and all subschema information in the DBCOM; the DDL compiler then readies the COSSD to accept new subschema information when the new Schema DDL is compiled. Consequently all the old subschema information is deleted after the renaming phase; no subschema information has as yet been entered in the new COSSD.
Therefore, after BALTER has renamed your database, all subschemas must be recompiled and a new SSIA must be generated for each and entered in the DBDIR.
