Moving a VM within main memory

&pagelevel(4)&pagelevel

On SU x86, there is no need to change the location of a VM. /MOVE-VM is not available.

/MOVE-VM enables the VM2000 administrator on SU /390 to (retrospectively) change the location of a VM in main memory from the original location defined during initialization.

Overlapping with the old VM main memory is possible. The new address must be a multiple of 1 Mbyte.

It is possible to protect a guest system in the MSCF network from being regarded as failed by MSCF partners while it is being moved.
