VM and VM group

&pagelevel(4)&pagelevel

VM groups are not available on SU x86.

On SU /390, VMs are added to a VM group by the VM2000 administrator when the VM is created (see "Initializing a VM") or during ongoing operation using /ADD-VM-TO-VM-GROUP, see the section "Adding a VM to a VM group".

A VM is removed from a VM group implicitly by the VM administrator using /DELETE-VM or by the VM2000 administrator using /REMOVE-VM-FROM-VM-GROUP, see the section "Removing a VM from a VM group".

/CREATE- or /MODIFY-VM-DEFINITION can be used to enter the affiliation of a VM to a VM group in a VM definition. Detailed information can be found in the section "Working with VM definitions".
