Setting up a virtual infrastructure under BS2000 by using the VM2000 virtual machine system can lower IT costs by improving efficiency, flexibility and reactivity. It enables you to quickly reallocate IT resources following daily changing demands, provide new services and drastically improve the capacity utilization of the Server Units.
VM2000 permits the simultaneous operation of different, completely self-contained system environments on a single Server Unit with almost the same performance as in native mode (operation without VM2000). VM2000 enhances system versatility and improves the capacity utilization of the Server Unit. If necessary, virtual machines running under VM2000 can be migrated to other Server Units by means of a VM Migration (Live Migration).
The systems on which IT processes are executed must adhere to the highest standards of security, reliability, scalability and performance. VM2000 has the system attributes needed for this in abundance and offers functions that provide the user with a variety of system deployment scenarios for improving availability. This applies both to individual Server Units and to SU clusters.
VM2000 V12.0 operates the current Fujitsu Server BS2000 SE Series (Server Units /390 and x86) in all capacity levels.
