The files of IMON

The result of each installation is stored in the Software Configuration Inventory (SCI). The SCI is used to administer the installed software.

The information for an installation is stored in diverse files:

• The IMON parameter files contain parameters for controlling the installation. These parameters can be customized by the user.

• The SYSSII file contains information on the structure of a product. The structure of a product corresponds to the layout of a release unit.

• The IDF file contains information about private software and BS2000 software that is already installed in the system and is to be registered in the SCI.

• The IMON reference files contain information for the software configuration check.
