This chapter provides an overview of all supported administration commands and contains information on starting and stopping HIPLEX MSCF as well as on connection setup and clear-down. It also describes MSCF connections, the setup and clear-down of LCS, CCS, shared pubset, and XCS networks, the retrieval of information, and the handling of XCS pubsets.
Overview of administration commands
Processors are linked by a data communication network to form a function network. They can be connected to or disconnected from the network dynamically. The administration commands required to administer the DSSM subsystem MSCF and the MSCF network are summarized below.
Command | Function | User |
| Modify partner-specific monitoring parameters | System administrator |
| Modify MSCF configuration parameters | Systems administrator |
| Declare a shared pubset as an XCS pubset | Systems administrator |
| Request information on the HIPLEX MSCF configuration | Systems administrator, user |
| Output information on user tasks that occupy XCS functionality | Systems administrator |
| Establish an MSCF connection to a partner processor | Systems administrator |
| Activate HIPLEX MSCF | Systems administrator |
| Close down MSCF connection to a partner processor | Systems administrator |
| Deactivate HIPLEX MSCF | Systems administrator |
