Function

The SET-XCS-PUBSET command lets you redefine the specified shared pubset as an XCS pubset online. The command will only work correctly if the shared pubset

  • has been imported exclusively from systems belonging to an XCS network

  • has been imported from all the systems belonging to the XCS network This XCS network must be globally consistent, i.e. there must be no connection errors and an XCS reconfiguration must not be taking place.

The command can be issued on any system in the XCS network.

Note

An XCS pubset cannot be redefined online as an ordinary shared pubset. This can only be done by exporting and then re-importing the pubset.

For more information on XCS pubsets see section “XCS network”.

Note

An XCS network needs to have at least one XCS pubset. If the last XCS pubset has to be exported, typically due to a pubset failure, no more systems can join the XCS network. This situation can be resolved by importing a shared pubset into all the XCS participants and then declaring this as an XCS pubset by means of the SET-XCS-PUBSET command.
