When HIPLEX MSCF is terminated, all TU tasks which occupy XCS functionality are canceled (CANCEL); system tasks are terminated by terminating the registered functions. The MSCF subsystem does not terminate until there is no further occupation of XCS functionality (the MSCF subsystem can then be restarted if necessary).
If the CANCEL job of a task is deferred as a result of higher priority states, the termination of MSCF is blocked. The block is indicated at regular intervals by message MCS1021 on the main console. Systems support can issue the SHOW-XCS-OCCUPATION command to determine the blocking tasks, and can eliminate the cause of the block.
