Generation of the LCS network

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

As regards BCAM, the dependencies described in section “BCAM dependencies”, (MAXTSDU, protocols) must be taken into account.
The processor name must be unique.

We recommend generating an MSCF configuration file (see "MSCF configuration file").

Decentralized administration must ensure that the processors in an LCS network have the following attributes:

  • unique SYSIDs

  • unique catalog IDs of the home pubset

  • same value for the system parameter ENCRYPT
If password coding is required, all of the processors in the network must work with it.

  • Both the user ID and the LOGON password must be the same on the local processor and on the LCS partner. If that is not the case, the LCS functionality will not be available. This also applies to the $TSOS user ID.

The local security criteria of a processor cannot be bypassed by HIPLEX MSCF.
