This manual consists of the main parts:
- “Installation and configuration of MAREN”;
- “Management of tapes and MAREN in the data center” by the MAREN administrator, in particular:
- MAREN catalog, tape management, MAREN network, locations, interaction of MAREN and BS2000 software products and archive systems, MAREN exits;
- MARENADM administrator program;
In order to use the SDF statements and commands, you will require a basic knowledge of the SDF dialog interface. The command syntax and all BS2000 commands which are referenced in this manual are described in the “Commands” manual [5]. Exception: The commands for processing the MAREN TFT, see the “MAREN User Guide” [1]. For more in-depth information on SDF, please refer to the “SDF Dialog Interface” [20].
The /SHOW-INSTALLATION-PATH INSTALLATION-UNIT=<product> command shows the user ID under which the product’s files are stored.
