Preface

The software product MAREN is used to manage tape inventories in a data center. It stores all information on the tapes in a separate MAREN catalog, which can be set up as a central catalog for several BS2000 systems.

Close cooperation of MAREN with other BS2000 software products, e.g. HSMS/ARCHIVE, enables the data center to be organized ideally.
