Because certain names are frequently used, for the sake of simplicity and clarity the following abbreviations are used:
MAREN for the MAREN system executing in the BS2000 operating system, controlled by the control programs MARENCP and MARENUCP.
The strings <date>, <time> and <version> in examples refer to the current outputs for the date, time, and version of a software product when the examples are otherwise independent of date, time, and version.
The string <ver> in the file name specifies the current version of MAREN, in this edition <ver>: 126, i.e. MAREN V12.6.
