Providing a reserved tape

A reserved tape need not be requested via MAREN before processing. Using the information in the catalog entry, MAREN checks during processing whether the user has access authorization for this tape. If so, access is permitted, if not, it is rejected. An allocated password can be input via the BS2000 command ADD-PASSWORD.

Tapes can also be provided for processing by the MAREN user with the MOUNT-VOLUME statement. The statement below mounts the tape TAPE01 without write protection:
