MT9750 is an emulation software package from Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH for connecting PCs to BS2000 systems.
MT9750 is a 32 bit Microsoft Windows® application, which runs on a PC and emulates the data display terminals from the historical DSS9750 family (up to 9763). You can use the terminal emulation to enter and execute commands on the remote BS2000 computer. Apart from a few system-related exceptions, all the properties of the terminals are replicated on the PC. In addition, functionalities that go beyond pure terminal functions are provided, for example FTP-based file transfer. The appearance can be customized regardless of the emulated functions.
MT9750 can be used on Windows workstations and terminal servers from Citrix or Microsoft. For details of the versions for which MT9750 is approved, see the current release notes.
MT9750 includes basic Unicode support for European characters in the Unicode character set from U+0000 to U+2FFF. This enables characters from different character sets to be displayed together. For details see appendix [Appendix - Unicode].
MT9750 supports handling of the BS2000 Kerberos authentication protocol, which means that user login to $DIALOG is possible without entering a password as part of a Single Sign On (SSO). The presence of the chargeable BS2000 product SECOS is a prerequisite for these functions.
Unless otherwise specified, in this manual the name MT9750 refers to version V9.0C of the MT9750 program.
