Installing MT9750

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

Installing and uninstalling software requires administration privileges on your PC.

The MT9750 installation routine supports:

  • Installation of the product and its utilities KBDMAP and VFT
  • Adding components
  • Updating a MT9750 version from V8.0B
  • License updating to the latest version

If the "Autorun" option is selected, the installation routine starts automatically after inserting the CD-ROM.

If the "Autorun" option is not selected, the SETUP.MSI program has to be selected and started by clicking on "Start > Run” in the menu and selecting the CD-ROM drive.

The installation routine asks you to select the language to use for the installation. The only other action the installation routine allows is selecting programs.

From V8.0B, MT9750 has a changed installation routine, which differs in terms of its interface and functioning from V8.0A and all earlier versions. This means: Older versions up to and including V8.0A must be explicitly uninstalled before installation of V9.0.

The unit delivered is a licensed product. After successful installation, the usage right purchased must be activated before use. Instructions for preparing to use the emulation can be found in the file Doc/Licensinghelp.PDF on the installation medium.

If MT9750 is updated from the licensed V8.0B version and higher to V9.0D, the license is also upgraded to the newest version. In this case, the activation is skipped.

The actual installation is carried out either as a multi-user network installation or as a single user installation with different installation options.
