BCACT: Activate line

&pagelevel(4)&pagelevel

You use a BCACT command for a line to activate that line only.

BCACT on a line

LINE = <line-name 1 .. 8>

,SLOW-POLL = OFF / ON

,CONFIGURATION = UPDATE / PRIMARY / NO

LINE=<line-name 1..8>
Name of line to be activated

SLOW-POLL=...
Defines the SLOW-POLL behavior for line ports to LAN nodes.
SLOW-POLL is only set if the affected connection is not active.
If the line is active SLOW-POLL can be set using BCACT LINE = <line-name> or BCOPTION SLOW-POLL LINE = <line-name>.

SLOW-POLL=OFF
No reactivation following a line failure.

SLOW-POLL=ON
Causes automatic reactivation following a line failure. This reactivation is attempted every 15 seconds until it succeeds or until a BCDAC or BCOUT command is issued.

CONFIGURATION=...
The operand specifies whether or not IP, IPv6 and INTF routes which are assigned to the line to be activated can be assigned to an alternative line if the one to be activated fails, for example, or on activating the line for the first time.

CONFIGURATION=UPDATE
IP, IPv6 and INTF routes may be assigned to an alternative line.

CONFIGURATION=PRIMARY
IP, IPv6 and INTF routes are assigned to the line to be activated on activating the line.If the line to be activated fails, the IP, IPv6 and INTF routes may be reassigned to an alternative line.
In contrast to UPDATE, the routes are switched back to the specified line when that line becomes active again.

CONFIGURATION=NO
IP, IPv6 and INTF routes are always assigned to the line to be activate.
If the line to be activated fails, no alternative line is assigned for IP, IPv6 and INTF routes.
