BCDAC: Deactivate communication components

&pagelevel(3)&pagelevel

Using this command, you deactivate the following during operation

  • individual processors or groups of processors

  • individual routes or groups of routes

  • LAN nodes

  • lines

  • hosts

If the BCDAC command is specified for a processor, the transport connections are not shut down. If deactivation takes longer, transport connections may, however, fail (e.g. because of timers), since no more data exchange takes place for the deactivated systems.Applications or terminals on an 8170 Cluster Controller are deactivated using the BCAPPL command.
