MODIFY-OWN-ADDRESS / MDOAD: Reassign own address

You use the MODIFY-OWN-ADDRESS command to assign an own address to another line or to a VLAN.

The alias name MDOAD exists for MODIFY-OWN-ADDRESS to provide SNMP support.

ADDRESS=...
Specifies the own address which is to be reassigned.
Reassignment of the own address is logged with message BCA0570 for lines and with BCA0571 for VLAN lines.

ADDRESS=*IP(...)

IP-ADDRESS=<composed-name 7..15> / <x-string 7..8>
own IP address of a line or VLAN line which is to be reassigned.

ADDRESS=*IPV6(...)

IPV6-ADDRESS=<text 9..45> / <c-string 9..45>
own IPv6 address of a line or VLAN line which is to be reassigned.

LINE-NAME=
Name of the line or VLAN line to which an own address is to be assigned.

LINE-NAME=<composed-name 1..8>
Name of the line or VLAN line.

Command logging

The reassignment of an own address is reported with the message BCA0570 for lines and with BCA0571 for VLAN lines.
Positive acknowledgments are supplied in news BCA066A, and negative acknowledgments in news BCA06BA.
