You use the START-DNS-CLIENT command to start GETDNS processing. The DNS Resolver is started.
The standard case of starting GETDNS under TSOS can also be controlled using the DCOPT or DCSTART command.

LISTEN-PORT for DNS handling.
LISTEN-PORT=<integer 1 .. 65535 >
Define the desired listen port.
If no listen port is entered, the default port 921 will be used.
Notes
Diagnostic data will be written to the file SYSTRC.GETDNS.<tsn>.
The JV subsystem is mandatory for the usage of GETDNS. Information is written to the following job variable:$TSOS.SYS.PARAM.DNSC
