This document describes the functionality of Version 7.0 of the openUTM WebAdmin program. Like the openUTM WinAdmin program, openUTM WebAdmin can be used to administer UTM applications. In contrast to openUTM WinAdmin however, you can administer applications from a web browser such as Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox.
After a single instance of openUTM WebAdmin is installed centrally, it then provides a web application that can be accessed from any client computer on which a web browser is installed. openUTM WebAdmin is supplied together with the Apache Tomcat web server in which the web application is automatically deployed on initial start-up.
The WebAdmin configuration data is stored in a configuration database, as is the case with WinAdmin. A configuration database created by WinAdmin can also be used.
The openUTM WebAdmin software can be used in two variants:
- As a so-called stand-alone WebAdmin, it can be installed on Windows and Linux systems.
- In addition, WebAdmin can be installed as an add-on in the SE Manager, see WebAdmin as SE Manager add-on.
