The WebAdmin add-on is accessed using a web browser by means of a link in the SEM's web GUI. This implicitly logs the user on at the WebAdmin add-on with the ID (account) of the SEM user.
- From M2000 V6.5, i.e. with SEM base roles:
The privilege is always derived from the base roles of the SEM account. This is checked in the order given:- SEM Admin or Service account or the SEM user ID has the Administrator role:
User ID gets WebAdmin Master privilege. - SEM user ID has base role OPENUTM administrator:
User ID gets WebAdmin Master privilege. - SEM user ID has base role OPENUTM operator:
User ID gets WebAdmin Write privilege. - SEM user ID has base role OPENUTM information:
User ID gets WebAdmin Read privilege. - Otherwise, i.e. the SEM user ID is neither the Admin nor the Service account and has none of the base roles administrator, OPENUTM administrator, OPENUTM operator or OPENUTM information:
The user does not get access to the WebAdmin add-on.
- SEM Admin or Service account or the SEM user ID has the Administrator role:
- Up to M2000 V6.4, i.e. without SEM base roles:
If the SEM user ID already exists in the WebAdmin add-on, the privileges defined there apply.
Otherwise the privilege is derived from the roles of the SEM account as follows:- SEM Administrator role: User ID gets the WebAdmin Master privilege
- SEM UTM Administrator role: User ID gets the WebAdmin Write privilege
- Other: User ID gets the WebAdmin Read privilege
If the SEM user has a real name (account name) then this is also displayed in the WebAdmin add-on:
- As the currently logged-in user in the title bar
- As the "Real Name" in the list of WebAdmin users and associated property dialogs. If a user is logged in multiple times then multiple real names may also be displayed.
Otherwise, the SEM user ID is displayed in the title bar and the real name remains empty.
In the case of an implicit login to the WebAdmin add-on, the language (German or English) of the SEM session is taken over and is displayed in the title bar. This can be modified for the duration of the WebAdmin session.
Following an implicit login, the WebAdmin add-on displays the list of collections to the user.
An earlier WebAdmin session is not continued!
