Preparation for use

Distributing the KDCFILE

In order to be able to run, every node application requires a copy of the initial KDCFILE from the common UTM generation run with a base name assigned exclusively to this node application. To achieve this, you must copy the initial KDCFILE (including the pagepool, restart areas are maintained) into the associated node-specific filebase for each node application after the UTM generation run.

Creating the start parameter file

When you start a node application, you must specify the start parameter CLUSTER-FILEBASE in place of FILEBASE. See also the section "Start parameters for openUTM". The files that are global to the cluster must be present under the base name specified in CLUSTER-FILEBASE.

If you wish to specify a different name for cluster_filebase in the start parameter file than you set in the KDCDEF statements, you must rename the UTM cluster files generated by KDCDEF before the first node application is started.
