The "STOP-MSCF-CONNECTION" (Clear down MSCF connection to partner system) command clears down a connection to a partner processor. Message MCS0015 is output on the local processor, and message MCS0014 is output on the partner processor.
If the command is executed when no connection exists to the partner processor specified in the command, the request to clear down a connection to the partner processor is canceled (message MCS0015 is output).
Clearing down the MSCF connection between two processors can result in restrictions to the shared pubset or XCS functionality on both processors. For this reason, the clear-down request in the STOP-MSCF-CONNECTION command for a connection between a master and slave processor in a shared pubset network will be rejected (message MCS0021 is output), but can be forced by specifying the operand FORCED=*YES.
The MSCF connection between two processors is cleared down implicitly when HIPLEX MSCF is terminated on either of the two processors.
For information on connection problems and how to handle them, see chapter “Error recovery”.
