The MSCF subsystem uses the system tasks MSCF, MSCC, MSCM, MXCM, WDGS and WDWT the MSCF server tasks, and a variable number of auxiliary tasks for temporary jobs. The tasks are displayed by issuing the SHOW-SUBSYSTEM-STATUS command (assuming MSCF is the DSSM holder task).
Abnormal termination of the WDGS task
If the WDGS task is terminated abnormally due to a program error, all shared pubsets are exported with a watchdog forced export in the task error recovery procedure. This export process essentially corresponds to an implicit FORCE-PUBSET-EXPORT command, with which the occupying tasks are terminated immediately with CANCEL-JOB and then the disks are removed from the system. The export process is concluded when all tasks have canceled their shared pubset occupation. After being exported, the pubset can therefore be imported again in the same BS2000 session.
In addition, the registered function CPM (plus XPM in XCS mode) reports the termination to configuration management. MSCF is terminated as a result.Abnormal termination of the MSCF task
If the MSCF task is terminated abnormally due to a program error, MSCF clears down the connections to the partner processors in the DSSM task recovery; the processor is disconnected from the network and MSCF terminates.Abnormal termination of the MXCM task
If the MXCM task is terminated abnormally due to a program error, XCM disconnects the processor from the network in the error recovery and initiates the termination of MSCF.Abnormal termination of an MSCF server task
A new MSCF server task is created if necessary.
